Il 25 luglio 1927, moriva a Napoli Matilde Serao e in occasione dei 90 anni dalla sua morte, l’associazione “Matilde Serao” di Carinola, Comune nel quale la piccola Matilde visse fino all’età di 5 anni, ha organizzato un convegno nazionale a cui erano presenti anche i pronipoti della coppia: Serao – Scarfoglio: Paolo e Carlo Scarfoglio. Presente anche la nostra presidente: Stefania Spisto che è stata accolta dalla presidenza dell’Ass. Matilde Serao e ha presentato il libro “Cristina” della giornalista napoletana di cui ha curato la prefazione.
“Sono molto liete di essere stata invitata a questa celebrazione perché vuol dire che si è compresa la nostra opera di diffusione e conoscenza della più grande giornalista e scrittrice napoletana dell’inizio del secolo scorso” ha dichiarato in apertura la Spisto.
